Genesis and Growth:
Bela Institute of Rehabilitation Health Science is a concern of Health and Education Foundation, is a non-profitable, voluntary and charitable organisation. It came into existence in 2010 by the collaboration of some of the renowned Health professionals in Savar. The initiative was started to make health services available to the people through making collaborations among the Government and non-government Health actors. The Institute expanded its mission into the health services like Therapy, Eye & Hearing Camp through BELA Community Therapy and Rehabilitation Center (BCTRC). Skill development initiative was strengthened by institution by organising short courses on health issues especially on rehabilitation management. Training courses for teachers and professionals. Later, BIRHS launched its community centre at Trishal to provide therapeutic services to the distressed people who come from different corners of Mymensingh. Presently Bela Institute of Rehabilitation Health Science is a team of 10 skilled Physicians, Therapists, Training specialists, Nurses, and other expert Rehabilitation Professionals.

Objectives of the Institute
Overall objective of the Institute is to create a knowledge based intervention in people’s health management through contributing in the development of Health Science in a changing world.
The specific objectives are as follows:
To take general health and educational programs by establishing public Health Care Centers, Medical College, Hospital, School, College and University.
To provide health skills among the community.
To endeavor welfare and awareness programs for HIV and other CD affected people.
To publish and exhibit programs about health issues among the people.
To take publicity and research programs on concurrent health issues.
To supply health-education materials among the community.
Developing training modules and materials.
